Low-sugar, concentrated fruit spreads without thickeners and addictive pickles, all in extraordinary flavour combinations were her jam, and she still finds joy in stirring the occasional pot of boiling fruit, the sharp scent of vinegar, and dreaming of concoctions to awe and dazzle eaters.
